Jug Bay Wetland's Sanctuary 40th Anniversary Poster reveal!
On Saturday, September 27, Jug Bay Wetland's Sanctuary celebrated their 40th Anniversary!
Joe Barsin of Citizen Pride illustrated a poster for the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks to commemorate the event. This is the fourth in a series for the parks.
Jug Bay Wetland's Sanctuary features extensive tidal freshwater wetlands that support important populations of freshwater marsh bird species. 🌲This protected land (1,700 acres!) also contains forested wetlands, upland and riparian forest, creeks, meadows, pine and sand barrens, and vernal pools. 🦆It provides a safe haven for a high diversity of plants, insects, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish and microbes.
VISIT JUG BAY!!
Walk and explore the nearly 17 miles of boardwalks along the marsh, watch the osprey dive for fish and enjoy the peaceful forest canopy. https://jugbay.org/
